In 2011 a study found that 47% of Detroit's residents are functionally illiterate. Detroit's violent crime rate is 5 times the national average while more than 90% of all crimes go unsolved. In 2012 police in Detroit began telling people to "enter Detroit at your own risk". A bit of advice... Don't.
