"Tired." Delphi mumbled. They didn't get a lot of sleep, spending most of the night cramming for exams and finishing homework instead.

Chester pat her shoulder. 'After breakfast, you can go back to sleep. How much sleep did you get, love?' He was always adamant that his kids eat with the family in the mornings, then go back to sleep, as was tradition.
'Father, come on!' Felipe called. Chester laughed and followed. -
Delphi was about to answer, but their father left, so they just kept walking instead, rubbing their eyes.

‘Now, what’s the matter with this airplane?’ Chester asked Felipe, who he was following to the children’s nursery. Anastasia was the only one who still frequented it, but Felipe did enjoy using the toys to create things.
‘It doesn’t fly like yours do. I throw it and it falls,’ Felipe responded, leaning on his crutch as he walked. -
Delphi watched them walk into the nursery, and peered inside. It was a mess of toys, so much so that you could hardly see the floor under all of the clutter. Dammit, Anastasia. They were sure that she was the reason for the mess, since she was always playing in there. They supposed it wasn't a big deal, but they swore they weren't nearly as messy as a kid.
