Clay hummed as he was changing into his workout clothes, getting ready to head off to his morning training and workout. -

Clay’s mother knocked on his door, crossing her arms.
 -

“Come in-“ Clay spoke, pulling shirt over his head and running his hands through his hair a few times.
 -

Clays mom entered, shutting the door behind her and heading over to his desk. “I’m here for the letters.”
 -

Clay froze, panicking. “Letters? Uh, well- y’see, I uh, I’ve just been very busy with classes and-“ He spoke, exhaling softly. “I- I didn’t do them…”
 -

“Clay!” His mother exclaimed, glaring at him. “I ask one, one thing of you, and you can’t even do it?? It’s for your own good, too! For your future!”
 -

“Well, maybe it’s not what I want tor my future,” Clay mumbled, rolling his eyes as he walked over to his dresser.
 -

“What did you just say to me?” His mother said, venom dripping g off her tone
 -

“I said, maybe that’s not what I want for my future,” Clay repeated, anger growing inside him. “I get you want me to find wife, get married and take over, but- what if I don’t to marry some random girl you pit me with? Ever thought about that??” He turned around to face his mother, crossing his arms over his chest.
 -

“Clay, that is the same thing I thought when I was your age- but- do you think I’m evil?? Im letting you choose who you want at this ball- and if that doesn’t work, I’m choosing a good girl for you to marry-“ She said, playing the victim. “I want you to be happy, Clay, can’t you understand?”
 -

“But, what if-“ Clay spoke, stopping himself quickly. “No, I- I understand you want me to be happy, but this isn’t making me happy, Mom-“
