George quietly opened the door, sneaking in and shutting it again. “Hi~”

Clay sat up a little and looked over, smiling. “Hey, handsome~” He said with a chuckle, fully sitting up and turning to face George.

“Hey,” George repeated with a smile, walking over. “Was dinner okay? I feel like I f---ed up the sauce.”

“No, it was great~” Clay said with a smile, grabbing George’s hands and gently pulling him down to sit with him. “It was delicious, like always~”

“You’re not just saying that, are you?” George said softly, sitting down next to him. “Because half my chefs said it was ass.”

“What- No, it really didn’t taste bad,” Clay said quickly, shakily his head. “I promise, I’m not just saying it to make you feel better or because I’m your boyfriend- It didn’t taste any different than it usually does.”

“Ugh, okay,” George said, rubbing his face before smiling a little. “I just- I’m overthinking, I put high standards for my food. Sorry.”

“Nah, you’re good,” Clay said with a quiet chuckle, nodding. “That’s understandable, honestly. I’d be the same way if I were you.”

“You wouldn’t be as bad as me,” George said, giggling. “There was one time I messed up a side dish and the person I was making it for got upset and I was inconsolable for like, four days.”

“Aww, you poor thing~” Clay said with a quiet chuckle, wrapping his arms around George’s waist. “Well, you definitely won’t have to worry about that with me, I’ll eat literally anything-“

“I’m glad,” George said with a chuckle, leaning j to Clay’s side.

Clay smiled and held George close, kissing his cheek. “Okay, so- I’ve literally been searching for a movie for the last 20 minutes and I can’t find anything good,” he whined, chuckling softly.

“Aw, c’mon,” George giggled, looking up at Clay. “There’s not even one that you’ve already watched that you wanna?”

“Mm, we could watch some Marvel- Ooh, wait, actually I wanna watch Into The Spiderverse again,” Clay said quickly, pulling up the movie.

“Go for it,” George said with a chuckle, leaning into Clay.
