“Yeah, thank you,” Nick said awkwardly, smiling politely again at Karl. “Sorry- I should’ve been thinking, you’re right,” he said quietly to Lucy, hanging his head a little.

“Hey, it’s okay~” Lucy spoke in a sickeningly sweet voice, holding her hand out for Nick. “I need reminders, too, sometimes~”

Nick smiled nervously, taking her hand and squeezing it a little. “Yeah, uh, thanks.”

“No problem, baby~” Lucy said with a smile, rubbing the back of Nick’s hand with her thumb.

Nick smiled, awkwardly, leaning back in his seat. “So, what are you getting, again?”

“Salad, like you~” She replied, smiling at Nick. She put on an upset face, exhaling. “God, I- I overstepped, didn’t I? I’m so sorry…”

“No! No- I- I probably needed that,” Nick said, chuckling awkwardly and looking down at the table.

“You sure?” Lucy spoke softly, watching Nick for a moment.

“Yeah! Yeah, I’m sure,” Nick said, forcing a small smile and looking up at her again.

Lucy smiled and leaned over the table, pressing a kiss on Nick’s lips. “God, you’re so handsome~” She said with a giggle, sitting back down.

Nick kissed her back for a moment, admiring her with a star struck look. “Oh please, look at yourself, you’re absolutely gorgeous.”

“Mm, I guess you’re right~” Lucy said, giggling softly as she brushed her bangs out of her face.

Nick smiled softly, admiring her as they delved into more awkward silence.
