Karl let out a sad whimper, tearing up and hugging Nick close. "I love you so much, too, honey," he said, rubbing his back. "And- And life f---in' sucks, I know. It- It makes us hate ourselves for no good reason, and that sucks. But, I w-want you to know that you, every s-single part of you, is- is amazing, okay? Don't ever- ever wish you any different~" He pressed a kiss on Nick's head, continuing to rub his back. "And know t-that, I will always be here for you, a-and be by your side, okay, love??" -

Nick nodded, frowning as he watched Karl get upset. āIāll- Iāll always be here for you too.ā He picked his head up, making eye contact with his boyfriend. āI love you. Thanks for being here for me.ā -

Nick kissed him back for a second before pulling away. āIām sorry for upsetting you. You looked so sad.ā He said with a frown, reaching a hand up to gently rub Karlās cheek. -

Karl let out a laugh and wrapped his arms around Nick, pulling him close and kissing him for a moment. "It just means, whenever you, or someone else is sad, it makes me sad," he said, resting his forehead against Nick's. "Like I said, when someone cries, I cry. Kind of silly, I know, but I think it just makes me feel like, y'know, I'm actually a kind person? I- I don't know, I'm just yapping~" -

Nick blinked before shrugged, kissing Karl quickly. āOkay. Thatā¦ kinda makes sense.ā He studied his boyfriend with a soft smile, going silent and seeing if the brunette had anything to say. Because he was honestly just tired and wouldnāt mind lazing around in Karlās arms and listening to him talk for the rest of the day. -

"Yeah, it's- it's like, if-" Karl paused, thinking for a moment. He rested his head on Nick's chest, hugging him close. "Like- hypothetically, you and your friend get ice cream, but then your friend drops their ice cream- you'd feel bad, right? For me, I feel that on a like, a higher level, kind of? Like, whenever something bad happens to someone, I can- I can kind of understand their hurt and pain and it makes me feel their hurt and pain. Y'know?" -

āHuh, okay,ā Nick said with a nod, holding Karl close and threading his fingers through his curly hair. āThat makes more sense then it did in the beginning. -

āThat you do,ā Nick said with a giggle, gently rubbing Karlās back with his left hand, his right hand still running through his hair. He yawned after a moment, letting his head fall back onto the pillows.
