'No. I have a roommate, but she's not often around,' Mahina said. It was partially the truth. Selene did go out, sometimes for days on end but never more than once every few months.

"Oh, cool." Ernest smiled.

Mahina nodded. 'Do you live in the village?' she asked, leaning against the counter.

Ernie thought for a moment before nodding. He supposed living wasn't exactly the right word, but it wasn't like he went anywhere else but there.

'Right. With your family, I presume?'

Ernest winced, shaking his head slightly.

Mahina frowned. It wasn't much of a frown, just a slight furrow of her brows. 'Who with, then?'

"Nobody I suppose." Ernie said quietly. "Just me."

'Huh. Strange,' Mahina mumbled.

Ernest nodded. "Sorry." He said, feeling bad for bringing the mood down.

Mahina shrugged. 'No need to apologize,' she said, waving it off.

Ernie smiled gratefully. "Well... Lets find something to change the subject."

'Alright,' Mahina looked around. She grabbed one of the pillows off a chair and chucked it at Ernest.

"Oi!" Ernest laughed, tossing it back.
(Gonna go for the night, bye!) -

Mahina laughed, grabbing the pillow and whacking Ernest over the head with it - not enough to hurt, but enough to be annoying.
