Beatrice broke the kiss to look at him. She rolled her eyes and stepped back. ‘Your little pet is here, baby.’
Chester panted slightly, looking at Jayden. His gaze turned to the crowd that had surrounded, then back on his boyfriend. He knew he wouldn’t be able to handle him being mad. ‘D-Darling… I swear I didn’t-‘
‘Hush. You loved it,’ Beatrice said with a smirk, putting her hands on her hips. -
Jayden glared at him, then back at her. There was something different about actually seeing it happen. "Get out." He snapped at her.

Beatrice scoffed. ‘It hasn’t even been an hour yet! You’re kicking me out?!’
Chester wiped his eyes, which had begun to tear up with the thought of losing Jayden, and grabbed his mask off the ground. -
"Yes." Jayden said simply, trying to ignore the cameras flashing. "Don't make me repeat myself."

Beatrice looked at Chester. ‘Chester, baby-‘
‘You heard him,’ Chester said in a shaky voice, avoiding her gaze. Beatrice glared, but turned on her heel and left. -
The guests started gossiping among themselves. Chester's legs unfroze.

Chester stumbled forward as they unfroze. He looked at Jayden. ‘D-Darling?’

Jayden was silent for a moment, looking down. "I got you cake." He said so quietly it was almost a whisper, pointing at the snack table.

Chester sighed softly. He looked down. ‘Thanks,’ he mumbled. ‘I-I’m sorry, love. I tried to stop it, but:.. y’know. The whole freezing thing.’

Jayden gave a half nod, frowning.

Chester took his hands in his, rubbing the back of them with his thumb. ‘Are you okay?’

Jayden didn't answer for a bit. "Can we talk about this later?"

Chester sighed. ‘Sure, love.’

Jayden looked up. "Sorry." He mumbled.

‘I-It’s okay. I just don’t want tonight to be ruined because of her.’
