Chester pulled him closer.

Jayden let him with a grin.

Chester beamed.

Jayd chuckled. They got to the graves.

Chester’s smile weakened. He sat down on the grass.

Jayden sat down next to him, staring at the grave.

Chester grabbed his hand, playing with it to distract himself.

Jayd watched him, smiling.

Chester gave a weak smile back, leaning his head on Jayden’s shoulder.

Jayden pulled him closer gently.

Chester let him.

"Are you ready to talk to them?" Jayden asked quietly.

Chester sighed. ‘I don’t know if they’ll come.’

"Might as well try." Jayden shrugged. "And if they don't, you have me."

‘Alright,’ Chester mumbled. He took the flower out of his pocket and set it on the ground, then buried his face in Jayden’s shirt and closed his eyes.
