The bell for school started, and Eli walked to humanities, motioning for Callum to follow.

Callum followed them, feeling better.

Eli sat down in one of the seats near the back, pulling out a pencil.

Callum sat in front of Eli as there were not seat next to them, putting out his pencil case.

"If number 2 pencils are so popular, why are they only number 2?" Eli asked to themself.

Callum glanced behind him at them. 'What?'

"Nothing." Eli said, laughing. "Just a thought."

Callum chuckled. 'Alright.'
(Is a number 2 pencil a type of pencil? Over here we use HB, 2B, 3B and 4B) -
(We have those too, but the most popular pencil is type #2. Nobody questions it XD)
Eli grabbed a piece of scratch paper and started doing little scribbles on it. -

Callum turned back around in his seat. -
Eli doodled a bit more before class started.

Callum read through his textbook boredly.

"You're not actually reading it, are you?" Eli asked, chuckling.
