After the noodles were drained, Callyn put them back in the pot. She kept her noodles and sauce separated. She only mixed them together in the pot if she was using short noodles.
Callyn tasted her sauce again just to make sure it was okay. She had no idea that Turner had added the parsley.
Her eyes widened. "I finally figured out what it needs!" she exclaimed and flew to the spice shelf.
The parsley had lowered the spice flavor just enough that Callyn was able to figure this out.
This had been getting at Calllyn nearly the entire time she had been taste-testing. She knew there was something wrong, she just hadn't been able to figure it out.
"I didn't add enough basil," she said, putting some in.
