Jax looked alarmed, and then they heard a horrible screeching sound, but it turned out to just be Maxie scratching at the door. "Down," Jax commanded, and Maxie calmed down a little.

Jax laughed. "I guess he just wants to see if Flurry's gonna come."

Jax started feeling uncomfortable, so he drank some water, but he didn’t know how to deal with this. He had never felt this emotion before.

She smiled "Maxie is a floofster" she said

"Don't know," Jax shrugged. He always had a hard time concentrating when she was around.
