Jewel had explored 3 rooms. The first was a sitting place. The second was for if anybody got hurt. The third was for if anybody wanted silence. Jewel went into the third room and sat down on a couch, she pulled out a romance novel she was dying to read and started reading.
Adrian out of habit went down to the kitchen. He couldn't remember the rotation since he had been gone all day yesterday so he just started making breakfast.
Adrian woke up the next day slowly. He was not in a good place.
Adrian went into the kitchen like he did every morning. Kenril was making breakfast.
"Wow you don't look good," Kendril said. "You okay?"
Adrian didn't answer.
James had walked in the second right after Adrian. "What is it, Adrian, spit it out."
Adrian leaned his left elbow on the table and set his forehead in that hand. He used his other hand to trace random patterns in the grain of the wooden table. "Lucifer's back – sending me dreams," Adrian said in a low voice. "They're worse than ever."
Adrian shook his head. "I don't know."
He could feel Lucifer starting to creep into his mind again. He dashed out of the kitchen and back to his room. He locked his bedroom door and sealed the panel.
