Megan lightly bopped Lindsey on the head. Lindsey smiled and bopped her a little harder. It was something they had done since they were little kids. Bop each other on the head harder each time until someone showed that their had was in pain
Megan stopped for a moment when she felt something fluffy at her ankles. She looked down and saw a cat. She knelt down by it. She didn't see a tag. She started petting it.
"Megan, it's a street cat. Be careful," Lindsey said.
"Don't worry," Megan said. "He's so sweet."
(I never thought I'd be reacting this way to a cat lol))
Nathan followed Megan, blinking sweetly. Only she would see him if he turned into his true form, but he couldn't do it now, of course. It would be a little odd for a cat to vanish in front of the other one's eyes.
Megan clamped her hand over her mouth to keep herself from screaming. That thing in the dumpster was right there and talking to her...
Megan ran inside and shut and locked the door.
Megan pulled back the curtain on the window next to the door. That...she didn't know what or who was standing right in front of there. She heard what she said, and slowly unlocked the door.
