"Bacon sounds good right now, maybe with a side of eggs," Hunter suggests. He was indeed hungry, he couldn't even remember properly eating the day before due to all the excitement. "We can discuss the strategy for finding and corrupting the mystic pools while we eat."
Annabelle said "Indeed. I will just have eggs." Annabelle told her and Hunter's request to a goblin in the kitchen and he got right to work. She then sat down with Hunter at a large table that seemed to be built for more than two people. But she still was next to him too hear him better.
Hunter sits at the table. "According to what you've told me, the mystic pools are scattered throughout the kingdom. We can't just aimlessly wander around hoping to find one, we need an informant, or a map," Hunter says.
Annabelle said "I am way ahead of you, dear. I know of a place where we can find such a map. The orcs have told be of a map that could tell exactly where the mystic pools are in Avalonia. It is well hidden but they believe they know its locations."
"Fantastic news! If we get that map the pools are as good as corrupted," Hunter says with a thumbs up. The goblin handed him and Annabelle a steaming plate of breakfast and he ate a bit of bacon before asking, "Where exactly is the map? Is it close enough for us to reach before today's end?"
"I'm sure we can handle it, whatever dangers we face," Hunter reassures her. "After all, we'll be together. We'll have each others backs, just like when we were kids," Hunter smiles nostalgicly. It was quite tough, growing up in a village that despised Annabelle. Hunter was sometimes dragged into the hatred after associating with her for so long, but this hatred only made him more resilient.
"Way ahead of you," Hunter says between spoonfuls of scrambled eggs.
After breakfast Hunter would pack his and Annabelle's bags to make sure they're well prepared for the trip. He would sharpen his arrows too, since you could never be too careful.
Hunter met Annabelle at the entrance; her with some goblin and orc comrades, and him with the backspacks, which he handed out to everyone. He had tied his red hair into a ponytail, so he looked ready for adventure.
Annabelle nodded and said "Okay minions, listen up. We shall go on this quest and find this map, do or die. Whether it exists of not. We will face hardships beyond compare but I want not weaklings in this army. Now lets go." The squadron shouted "Hail Empress Annabelle. Long live the Overlord." in unison as she opened opened the doors to begin the journey.
