He counted the third tunnel "okay awesome. Will I be a German forever?" Dan asked her

"No,when you dry off you will be human and when you get wet you will be a merman" she said .

He nodded "Okay" Dan looked at Recata while he turned human

(They would have to be on shore) Recta just rolled her eyes as Dan turned human back on shore

"Why you eyeing me?" Dan said as she rolled her eyes -
Nothing" she said and looked away . She wiggled on shore and ater drying off she was in the clothes he gave her and sat down

Dan layed down next to her "the other mermaids... Do they like humans?" he was serious

"Mermaids are complicated. Most of us are wary of mermen and others of us worship them , Some love humans and others hide from them " she said picking up trash and slowly walking to throw it away

"You like humans right?" Dan asked as he drew in the sand with his fingers

Dan smiled "Do you wanna meet more humans? There not that bad really" he asked her

"Possibly but once a drop of water hits me , I have a tail" she said .
