Landon gave a small smile, dropping one hand but keeping hold of the other as he opened the door. He glanced outside of the bathroom before walking out, plastering a smile on his face for his father.
-
Ann slowly limped along with his help, wincing in pain at every slight movement. She grit her teeth and staggered along, trying to keep steady. She glanced up at Charles and tried to contain her killing glares. "Sorry for the delay; he was helping me..." She made her knee buckle for effect. Wasn't 100% a fake, but close enough.
-
Landon noticed that she was in pain, but didn't say anything of it as he walked towards the table. He didn't know if the pain was for the act or real, but he bit his lip, saying nothing. Charles nodded, getting up. "I have already finished. I will be going now." He walked over and kissed Ann on the forehead before walking up the stairs and leaving.
-
Ann refrained from punching the man and slumped into one of the chairs. She tried not to scream in pain at her lack of weight distribution and gave a small smile at Landon. "Thanks.."
-
Landon smiled at Ann, grabbing a piece of toast from a plate on the middle of the table. "It might be kinda cold. Sorry about that.." He took a small bite. "Where's Lily?"
-
Ann smiled and snook her head "it's good.." She took a piece of toast and ate up.
Lily slowly walked in from the kitchen, glaring at the two of them. "Here." -
Landon gave Lily a small smile. "Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. What's up?"
-
Lily directed her hate at Landon and walked back into the kitchen. "I wouldn't expect you to understand. And my name is Katryna. Not Lily."
Ann raised her eyebrows and gave a shrug at her toast. The younger girl had a point. -
"I'm sure I can understand. But whatever. No, your name is Lily. That's what my father told you, and that's what your name is." He took another bite of his toast, finishing it off.
-
Ann looked up at Landon in shock. She shook her head and got up from the table. Ignoring the pain, she stormed off to her room.
Lily grabbed a knife from the kitchen and followed her. -
Landon sighed, following Ann towards the bedroom. "Ann, don't be like that. You know it's true." He followed the girls, crossing his arms.
-
Ann glared at him. "Yeah. Charles calls us that. I thought you were different.. I thought you actually..." She shook her head and slammed the door shut.
Lily was standing there, supporting her, and helped Ann to the bed. -
Landon huffed and walked back to the kitchen, cleaning up the plates and full glasses of water that were never touched. He brought them to the sink and cleaned them, drying them off and setting them back into their correct spots in the cabinets. He sighed, rubbing his forehead with his thumb. He really didn't want to get into an argument, so instead of trying to talk to Ann, he turned the telly on and sat down on the silk white couch.
-
The two girls sat on Ann's bed, talking. They must have spent a good half hour there. Contemplating this, pros and cons of that. Lily wrote out a letter and gave it to Ann. The two hugged, one girl broken, the other soon to fade from existence. They both cried and comforted each other, Ann kissed Lily's forehead, and the younger left for the bathroom with her knife. Ann sat on her bed, staring blankly at the wall.

Landon watched some movie for the time being, something about a lost puppy that was sure to be found at the end. He groaned as he got up from the couch, the movie night longer holding his attention. Landon ignored the pain in his back, walking over to the bedroom. He knocked on the door gently, the frame shaking a little as he did so. "Ann?"
