Once Brynn was fed, Kayleigh got her own pancakes, and a few pieces of bacon. But the meat was quickly disappearing due to Marco's devouring of it. He replied through half a mouthful, "Mhm. I guess I was too sleepy to really notice, it was okay."

Lucas nodded. "We used to sleep in cages, any bed feels lovely to us." He explained with a smile. Olivia smiled and nodded, already rising to put her dishes in the sink. "I've got to go," she sighed, adjusting her badge a little before kissing Brynn's forehead, Kayleigh's lips, and waving to the boys. "See you all tonight!" she called. She ducked into the hall before strapping her gun to her hip, not wanting Brynn or Kayleigh to see the weapon up close. She knew her job was risky, and she hated seeing it affect her family.

Marco was still eating the bacon quite greedily while he returned the wave to Olivia. Kayleigh had returned her kiss, saying, "Goodbye, sweetheart. Be safe." Marco found that he'd finished all of the bacon, and frowned a little, wishing he could have more.
(so since they haven't been using their proper protection (bad bad boys) I think that Marco is pregnant.. But I can't decide if he should have a fox 56-day pregnancy or a normal nine month one?) -
idk I'm fine with either, but also impatient for babies so maybe the fox one?)
Lucas waved, looking curiously. "Why'd you tell her to be safe? She's an adult, adults are supposed to know how to be safe, right?" he asked. "Where is she going?" Brynn watched the dog hybrid with wide eyes. Whenever she asked, the answer was simply 'work', but she didn't know much more than that. -
ha I'm impatient too so I think the fox one as well. Pregnancy symptoms all squished into a 56-day thing poor marco xD)
Kayleigh seemed to hesitate a little, wondering how she should say this to Lucas without making herself nervous. "She's just going to work. I just like to remind her to be safe, you know?" Marco stared at her, also trying to figure out why Olivia needed to remember to be safe, but then he huffed a little. He really, really wanted more bacon. He eyed the piece on Kayleigh's plate that she hadn't eaten, and while she just watched him, he reached across the table and snatched the piece. -
yeah poor mommy marco XD I wonder what he'll be craving hmm)
Lucas snickered, but he gently swatted Marco's hand. "Don't steal, it's rude." he huffed, though he really couldn't stay mad at him, and besides that he was still curious. "What sort of work does she do? Is it dangerous? Is that why you said it?" Brynn perked up, hearing a word she knew. "Dangerous! Mommy says don't stand on the swings cuz it's dangerous."
I feel like something should happen to Olivia now but idk that and the babies poor Kayleigh would be a mess) -
probably lots of weird things like cat food and fish cx)
Marco flinched at the swat, making a little sound of apology, but he ate the piece of bacon anyway. "Uhm," Kayleigh started, but she was glad that Brynn interrupted. "That's right, sweety," she said. "Don't stand on the swings or swing too high."

Brynn nodded, proud to have displayed her vast knowledge of swingset safety to the table. Lucas' ears twitched and he tilted his head, trying to figure out why Kayleigh seemed so intent on avoiding the conversation.

Marco sat there, munching slowly on his bacon as he tried to savor it. He looked between Lucas and Kayleigh for a second, wondering if she would ever answer his question. "Alright... Well, it's the weekend, so. Boys, will you be staying home today?"

Lucas shrugged. "Probably. Marco's still sore from, uh-" he caught himself just in time, smiling at Brynn. "From when he fell. So I think I'll stay with him and relax." he stated with a nodded, finishing the last of his tasty flat circles. "What about you?"

Kayleigh almost had to stop Lucas herself, so she appreciated it when the hybrid corrected himself. "I might take Brynn to the park, or the mall." Marco was definitely fine with missing out on the mall, so he just sat quietly.

Brynn perked up at that. "Park! Park!" she chanted eagerly, wiggling in her chair like an excited puppy. Lucas nodded. "Okay, we'll stay here, I want to try the television again. We'll, um, keep the other stuff in the basement." he said with a little smile.

Kayleigh giggled at Brynn's reaction, leaning forward to kiss her forehead. "Park it is, then." She looked back at Lucas, nodding curtly. "Alright. And I hope you're remembering what we gave you yesterday." Marco's brow furrowed as he thought about what she was meaning, and then his lips formed an 'o' when he realized what they hadn't used at all.

Lucas chuckled a little nervously. "Right, of course! Thanks for breakfast!" he chirped, quickly retreating back to the basement, dragging Marco after him. Brynn continued to bounce excitedly. "Let's gooo, Mommy, right now!"

Marco hurried after him, of course. As soon as the basement door was closed, he swallowed, following Lucas down the stairs. "We didn't use the things, that's bad, isn't it.." Kayleigh lifted Brynn from her chair, carrying her upstairs to get ready.
