Zayis crept towards the parking lot to fulfil their plan, rubbing his hands together just like cliche villians in movies. He pulled his hoody over his head, and pulled out a match. He scanned the lot 'till he found the car he saught. It was time.
-
Clarice stretched. "Anyway, since that's done. The Leopards are having an after party in the base." She took her car keys out of her pocket and walked down the bleachers. Viola followed after. "Cool I guess..."
-
Zayis struck the match, took a deep breath, and launched it at Clarice's car. They all took off running, hooting and laughing.
-
As they were walking to the parking lo- BOOM. Viola and Clarice jumped at the sound. The area shook for a slight moment then stopped. It's as if something blew up. "W-what the f--- was that?!" Clarice shouted, then saw where the black clouds of smoke came from, the flames followed. Wait. That area... She ran closer to the fire and stopped, letting out a loud scream. "My car!"
She slumped to her knees and stared. Viola slowly walked to her, eyes wide on the scene. "Who... Zayis!" She scrowled. Then frantically looked around. It took a while for Clarice to process the words, as she was still concentrating on her destroyed Challenger, which was now just a pile of hot metal. "Who is Zayis?" "A Cypher." Her sister glared at the car, clenching her fist. "Were going to destroy them!" Clarice took out her phone. Dialing almost every number in her contacts, all belonging to the Leopards."
Viola looked at her. "W-well.." She looked a bit away. "You did make there players s--- they're pants.." -
Zayis panted and crouched in the boy's bathroom with the rest of the Cyphers.
"That was awesome." Luke pumped his fist and Zayis couldn't help but agree. He did feel a bit guilty though. "Why did I have to do it?" He whined, adjusting his hood.
"Cause you decided to get cozy with a Leapard. Now shutup."
He opened his mouth to protest but Luke shushed him.
"Hear that?" He grinned. In the distance you could hear faint screaming.
One of the newer members, Dylan spoke up. "All they did was put x-lax or some s--- in the player's drinks. Did we really have to explode their car?"
Luke slowly swiveled his head. "Say it again."
Dylans eyes widened. "I just-"
This time Zayis cut him off. "You didn't just anything. Now get the f--- out of here."
Dylan grimaced. "But-"
"OUT." Half of the group yelled in unison.
"Anyone else?" Luke muttered.
The screaming got louder. Clarice must've been really upset. -
Clarice ignored her Viola. She did a group text to those selected people in her contacts. 'The party is off! Everyone to the football field. URGENT!' She pressed enter. "No excuses. They're going to f---ing pay!" She shouted. "If any of you b----es still here, just stay where you are!" Clarice laughed. She turned to Viola and poked her face. "Don't. Get. Close. To. No. C y p h e r." She spelled out the last word.
In the distance you could hear music. Loud beats coming from a yellow hummer. More car showed up, some had the prints of a leopard on them, showing they're clear affiliation with the gang. About 16 cars were there, paying loud music, before Clarice gave a gesture to turn the ghetto s--- down, for a moment at least. They an party later. -
-
"Right, now that that's taken care of, the Leapards will obviously want revenge. So we need to avoid them for now." Luke commanded.
They all nodded. The screaming grew distant again.
"Do you think it's safe to go out?" Zayis murmured. -
The crowd was riled up. Hearing about the Cyphers. "They couldn't have gone far. Fine them. And be sure to beat the s--- out of them." They honked the horns of their car. Viola looked a little worried.
-
"I think so."
A member Aidian replied.
Creeping towards the bathroom door, they slowly opened it with a soft squeak.
"Looks okay to me." Zayis muttered.
"Lead the way, Scout." Luke.
"Sure thing, Atticus."
it's an inside joke between them I guess -
The members on the motorcycles circled around the school perimeter. The ones in the cars for out, wielding bats, and knifes. "No mercy, guys." They looked around.
-
Quietly sneaking down the hallway, they made their way towards the teachers' lounge to hang out and hide. Creeping in, they locked the door and flipped on the light. Assorted snack machines cupboards filled with food filled the room, and they knew they had maked the right choice. Pushing a few coffee mugs out of the way, Luke got onto the counter and grinned, ready to make a speech. Zayis rolled his eyes but settled on a plush grey couch to listen.
-
Clarice pointed at the school. "Viola, try there. If you see any, text me." And with that she pushed Viola in that direction. She didn't understand why she had to go, alone. The girl quickly ran in to the school. When entering she had to be quiet as possible, and also quick on her feet. First she checked the library. No one there. Cafeteria? No one there. Art room?? f---. At this point she was close to giving up. Until she heard a noise coming from the teacher lounge.
She peaked in through the door. And there they were. -
They all forgot to be quiet and were wooping and hollering as the shared snacks and reveled in their half-victory.
-
Viola squated down by the door and took out her phone. Ready to call her sister of course. When by accident, she lost her balance from only being on her toes and fell in to the room.
