Ineffablehusband NoviceHello. How do you guys cope with exams/finals stress? i am on the autism spectrum so i handle stress badly. do you have any advice. i cry and i feel tired and burnt out from hours of studies. my therapist suggested deep breathing but its not very effective. i feel like im being lazy but when i push myself more i just become more and more tired..
I'm in senior year so I guess senioritis is really catching up to my mental health. -
Ineffablehusband Noviceif anyone wants to dm me on discord for advice i could send my username btw

i like to do 15 minutes of studying, then a 15 minute break, and go back and forth in short bursts

I like to list out what tests are when, so then I can space them out and create a To Do List and priority list. It helps me better visualize what to focus on, and look at the bigger picture. Calenders are my saving grace when i'm stressed :)

^^that is an AMAZING way to study, but try to make sure your phone is away during the breaks, since it can just make you feel more exhausted and stressed, as well as shortening your attention span after the break is over

I cried to my therapist and then I felt better. idk crying does the trick for me. also having a good support group of friends. you got thisssss!

Studying in short bursts as brownie mentioned is the ideal way to do it rather than long marathons. Also lots of sleep.
As to coping with stress, focusing on one class rather than looking at multiple at once helps. Doing the latter overwhelms you easily but having a schedule where you set certain days or hours to commit for one exam helps me.
