Here is what I know
Mitochondrion (plural is mitochondria) is a membrane-bound organelle found in most cells including plants, animals and fungi. They are about 0.5 to 1.0 micrometers in size.
Their main function is to supply the cells with the chemical energies needed for cells to perform chemical reactions. Mitochondrion also control cell growth and cell death
