The area of a triangle = 1/2 * base * height
= the area is given as36so equate it to the formula -
maths are harder???,,, ya.? maths are hardy!!!

@Kristy Thomas please change your picture,I find it offensive.
-
^ Why do you find it offensive?
-
@I agree with Dark...

Same quetion joky
-
Sim,It's "question" not "quetion".

Gracious this was the full method, in case you still want it for the question (And I like to practice my math so I just wanted to try this out):
The area of a triangle varies as its base and height. The area of a triangle having base of 6 cm and height 4 cm. is 12sqcm.Find the height of the triangle whose base is 8 cm and area is 36sqcm.
So for the question you need to create an equation
Area of a triangle= half base x height
= 1/2 x base x height
Therefore 1/2 x 8cm x (x)= 36sqcm
4 x (x) = 36sqcm
(x) = 36/4
(x) = 9cm
Therefore, the height of the triangle is 9cm
To check if answer is correct:
1/2 base x height = 36sqcm
1/2 x 8 x 9 = 36sqcm
multiply all that and it gives you 36sqcm :)
Hope you understand that xP I am glad my math is improving XD -
Yup,I understood...Thanks for the help...But there was no need as I had understood it in my school. But,Thanks for helping me...
-
O.o Was I correct, that is what I want to know xP -
Yuppy,You was correct!
-
"You was"? I think you need help in Language Arts more than Mathematics.
-
THE ANSWER IS 9 BECAUSE YOU DO 36 TIMES 2 WHICH IS 72 THEN DIVIDE 8 AND IT IS 9. I AM IN SIXTH GRADE
-
You always have to do base times height divided by two. And if you are doing the opposite it is area times two divided by base or height.

Then your too young ilovekittens
Leave GTQ your too young
