But it's all dark upstairs, and that's where the bathroom is. And I was just dropped off so for all I know there could be something up there in one of the dark rooms I have tk pass to get to the bathroom.

Yeah, I can be paranoid sometimes ._.

I have to go to the dark, cold, garage to throw recycling in a small container where as a creeper could be hiding in or behind as well as some cars it could be hiding in or under.
