You'd do well to remember the sight,
though that's surely not enough..
The dark can take it over,
but it's always just as bad.
Why, through all this pain I feel,
can I not feel any more sad?
The light threatened to burn us down,
so I pushed it away.
The dark will freeze us solid, dear,
so I guess we'll never be okay.
The sunset is depressing,
and the sunrise is as well.
Both of them look like open flames
that could cast shame on hell.
Both bleed into the ocean,
neither makes it seem okay..
Tell me how I'm supposed to live life
if we're not safe in dark or day. -
