I am still in shock. "Wha-, wi-, why?"

I think back, remember, then laugh. "Was it only two days ago?"

"time flies, doesn't it? It's going to be us, the Pres and VP, their families, and maybe some other high ranking officials"

I whistle. "Man, this is going to be.....different."

"yeah, I'm looking foreword to it. It's the day after we get back,"

I look at you. "Will you be okay by then?" 'Maybe I could call in sick or something.'

"in going to the Bethesda hospital after we land, I'll have a cast for sure, but I'll be fine"

I nod. "Okay."

I smile at you, "you should get some sleep."

I sigh. "Yeah, I suppose I should..."

I smile and lay down.

I lean back and close my eyes. 'What an odd day.'

'I'm not'
I sleep peacefully.
