"I'll change the alogrithms the cameras use. What's wrong?" I follow you to the storeroom.

I get to the storeroom and swing open the door to the cleaning closet. I go to one of the shelves and look through them.
"I saw....something...here earlier.... when I was cleaning the counters..."
I keep rummaging through the cabinets and buckets. -
I stand behind you. "what can I do?"

"Ummm...nothing!" I point to a pair of gloves.
"There. No one here uses them, and I haven't seen them before today." -
"huh. Makes sense, wouldn't want to leave prints everywhere, but why leave them?"

I stare at the gloves for a minute then glance over at the cleaning supplies and chemicals.
"I don't know.... Can't be carelessness, even I'm not that dumb. Maybe they thought they'd be coming back before someone noticed?" -
"but we always lock that door and the back right? Or he's hoping his prints get obscured with all the other ones"

"That would be too careless. If he did that, what would be the use of gloves? Unless..."
I walk over to the refrigerators and open one up.
"He, or she, could have just wanted to spike the food or something. That wouldn't make much sense, but I'm just going to check anyway." -
"but why?"

I start pulling already-made food from the fridge.
"I don't know. I really don't know. This probably wasn't their reason for breaking in, but I'm just going to check on the food. Poisoning may be a side thing, ya know?" -
"yeah. All right, I'll go reprogram the cameras. Next time they get in, well know."

"Okay."
I open a container of scones and smell them. They didn't smell different, so I took a tiny nibble off one. I grabbed my throat and tried not to gag. Those were spiked... -
I go to the back and open the settings for the cameras. I clear out the original algorithms then I get back up and go for a refill.

I clear my throat and throw the container of scones away. Now for the biscuits..

I come in and see the look on your face. "spiked?"
