i hate critiquing paintings! i cant go over 2.5 pages in the text, but it has to be more then 1 page. I have to have a title page, a picture page and citation page.

The Portrait of Marie-Antoinette, done by Elisabeth Vigee-Lebrun, has a very particular look to it. The top part of the painting is dark almost as if there the painter didnt want to have a ceiling to the room. As you go down from the top of the painting, you start to see the details in the walls. You can see what looks like drapery in right corner, which is a light blue with a hint of green and white in it. You can also see that one part of the wall doesnt go straight up it bends and then continues towards the ceiling. The structure next to the wall looks like a pillar, with what seems to be an ivory or brownish-white color as the base and as you go towards the bottom there are golden rings that surround the bottom. That whole back wall is covered in mostly shadows which gives the painting a dark or dim look to it.
