They were in a band, Gackt and Miyavi, but Miyavi was only lead guitar when he wanted to sing at the same time. -
That had to suck. Did they ever let him sing?

I'm not sure. They're likely disbanding or disbanded. :/
Gackt and Miyavi are soloists, they were in bands in the past, but they enjoy doing their own thing. Although, Miyavi did like being on stage with them, he just didn't like not being able to sing.
