I walk into class and sit down next to a girl with black hair and yellowish eyes. "Hey," I said. "I'm Jemma."

Mei turned to look at Jemma, nodding "I'm Mei-Ling."

Just before the bell rings I walk in quietly and take a seat without speaking

"You wouldn't happen to be Death the Kid's kid, would you?" I asked, remembering the picture my mom showed me of her and all her friends.

"Uh, yeah, that's me. Mei-Ling Death. How'd you guess?" She chuckled, brushing a strand of white striped black hair out of her eyes.
