Is that just me? Because my friend's call it a remote and I call it a clicker and they always ask me why I call it that. And I say "Because it clicks when you hit the buttons" and that's the name of it that I was taught growing up.
So, my question is, do you call it a remote or a clicker? -

I do the same sometimes. I'll just say "Hand me that thingy." when it's early in the morning and I forget what it's called XD.

And then when they ask me what the "thingy" is I just kinda say "Umm, Uh, Uh, that." while snapping my fingers because I'm trying to remember the name of it :P.

I feel really dumb for asking this, but how does the "snapping" sound come about?
