This is what I've got so far...
Victoria yawned, another boring day of school had finally ended. She entered her cabin-like house, and ran up the stair to company her laptop. She dumped her things on her Hello Kitty silk blanket, and plopped onto the snow white chair. She powered up the Dell, and logged onto Facebook... Hm. There was a message and a friend request from someone named... Tanner? The preteen looked at the screen confusingly. She didn't know a Tanner... She looked at the message, and it said,
Hi Victoria. I'm Tanner. My cousin in Alabama named Caroline told me about you, and I was wondering if you'd like to be friends. I'm currently living in Los Angeles, California.
The chocolate haired girl's eyes widened. "California?" she whispered, clicking his name. His profile popped up, revealing a teenager with beautiful black hair and grizzly bear brown eyes. Victoria's heart melted.
She accepted his friend request, and messaged him back.
Hello Tanner. I'd love to be friends. Caroline? Oh, she's my best friend! I'm currently living in Montgomery, Alabama.
She smiled, excited to getting to know him. This was going to be a good friendship, she thought to herself.
----------------5 YEARS LATER--------------
Victoria's hands shook in excitement. This was it, she was landing. The plane lurched forward as it landed on the runway, and all of a sudden, the flight was over. The Flight Attendant smiled at Victoria, and led her out to her luggage. Victoria smiled nervously. She grabbed the 2 suitcases and little brown domo purse, and headed to the gate. She took a deep breath... And opened it. -
I think the beginning could use a bit more background. But other than that I like it.
