  A friend,an old friend emailed me today.Her birthday was in the summer and I promised I'd go to it XP but I totally forgot,and she's like a long way from here.I told her I couldn't go.

  If the two of you have Skype, wish her happy birthday over Skype. Just because you can't see her in person doesn't mean you can't talk with her on her birthday.
