solve the following system of equations graphically
x + y = 0
x - y + 2 = 0
even my parents cant help -_- i hate my school! -
please?
-
I wish I could help, but I cant, I have never done stuff like that before, and that would be too hard, wait, how are you even doing this?! what school do you go to? and what grade are you???
-
im in 8th grade! im homeschooled! they dont teach me much! I FRIKEN HATE IT!
-
Why Are You Homeschooled ?
-
dont ask me ask my folks -_-
-
I think you have to set it up like this:
y= -x + 0
y= -x - 2
Then graph it. But I've been out for a few weeks so I don't know for sure. -
Lol
-
perhaps the second one is this
y= x + 2
Again, not sure. -
...ok thanks Mo...but my thing is...how to graph it? they just told me to do something that i have not learned well with -_-
-
Ohohoho I think I get this...
The first is.. Y=X, I think.
So that would mean you would graph (0,0), (1,1), (2,2), (3,3), and so on.
The second is y= x + 2, I'm pretty sure. Cuz you would turn everything into opposities so negative y becomes positive, and positive x becomes negative x, and negative 2 becomes positive 2.... -
Okay so it's
y= -x + 0
y= x + 2 (because of the negative on the y)
To graph it, x is basically 1. The y-axis is one that's vertical I believe. For the first one, you start on zero, which is the point where the two axises meet. Then you go down, to the right, by one every time. Hopefully I'm helping here...I suck at teaching unless I'm right there with you. -
ooooooooooooooooooooh ok
-
As for how to graph the second one...
Start at (0,2), because the y intercept is 2. Then (1,3), (2,4)..
You notice that the second number is two more than the first? That's because you're adding two to the x intercept. :3 -
I made a mistake. >>;
Yeah, it's y=-x. So then it would be.. (1,-1), (2,-2), so on..
