It's about this girl, Clary Fray, and one night her house is attacked while she's out, and whoever it is takes her mother. Well, that night she had seen these people murder someone, but nobody else seemed to be able to see them. She doesn't know that she saw a group of Shadowhunters kill a demon. And it goes on from there of how she gets involved with the Shadowhunters, and she tries to find her mother, and then she falls in love with her br- uh, nevermind....
