I started humming a song that my mother sang to me when she was still alive.

I kept preparing he deer for me to eat it.

I came across to the entrance of the woods, I strolled in.

I heard distant footsteps and lifted my head. "No, it can't be...." I threw down my knife and ran toward to the sound of the footsteps.

I heard something running toward me? Is it possible? Could it be? Was it...... another surviver?

I kept running but I couldn't hear the footsteps anymore. I stopped. "Hello?" I yelled out.

The running stopped and i heard an humans voice. "hello?!" I yelled back.

I started walking to the voice. I was amazed. I wasn't the only one! My pace quickened. "Where are you?!"

I heard the persons footsteps again. "um, by the the entrance of the woods."

I started running again and a girl came into view. All reasonable thought flew from my mundane I charged to her then enveloped her in a giant bear hug. I didn't even know who she was, but I was just so happy to see another human being, I wasn't thinking straight.

I was happy, not to be the only human being that survived. I didn't care that a total stranger is hugging me, All I knew was that he was human.

I didn't let go of her. "I can't believe I'm not the only one," I said joyfully.
