"I'll try" I said softly, I couldn't help smiling at him. My skin tingled as his hand brushed over my face, it was tingling in a nice way.
I stared at him and smiled, but another boom snapped me back to reality -
I quickly looked back over to the general direction where the booms had been coming from- and saw a huge, long trail of destruction. There were people stumbling away from it, while other were rushing in to help people. With every new boom, some area on the street would suddenly go up in flames, and a fire crew would start working quick to put it out. "Oh my god.." I mumbled, still looking around.

"W-who would do such a thing?" I could hear my voice cracking in fear, I felt my hands shake. I shook my head, "Need to be brave, need to be brave" I mumbled softly to myself trying not to lose it.

I had a feeling I knew, but I wasn't sure, so I kept quiet. "There are still people in there."

I nodded my head, staying silent but then I soon found my words. "I'm gonna help" I watched in horror as a small girl sat huddeled in a corner crying, I started walking towards her

**I know I should have figured this out earlier, but do you think the people should be able to see us? Should we be able to control if they can or not?**

I hung back, staying by her, but making sure the girl couldn't see me. I had a feeling that if she did, all she would do would be scream. I wasn't the nicest-looking fallen angel. -
***Alright then***
The girl looked at me with big eyes, I crouched down infront of her. I gave her a reassuring smile, "Hey...whats wrong?" She looked at me, I could tell she was scared. "I-I can't find my mom" I reached out my hand to her, "Come lets look for her" She held my hand and we started walking -
I bit my lip, regretting that I couldn't do anything to help. I looked around again, until I saw a young girl, who looked like she was around 12, coughing and stumbling away from a pile of ash. I slowly walked up to her. "Hey, do you need some help?" I asked her, putting my arm around her, trying to help her walk easier. She let me, but stared at me with wide eyes. "You h-have *cough* wings..."

I turned around and was glad to see Logan was helping, I smiled widely. I looked at the girl, she looked like she was 5 yrs, I bent down. "Where did you see mommy last?" She pointed in the direction of a toppled build. "What was she wearing?" The girl replied, "Blue dress, red scarf" I nodded my head and headed towards the building

"Yes, I do." I replied. The girl kept staring. "Why are the black?" I kind of cringed when she asked, and answered, "T-the, um, ash. It's the ash." The girl said, "It looks more natural than ash."

The building was rubble, it was destroyed. "We'll find your mommy" I said reassuring the small girl. I started pulling away the rubble. I found a red scarf and started digging faster until the girls mum was unburried

The girl started talking louder. "You're a devil! I know it, you're evil!" "No, I'm not, I mean, Im trying not to be-" She cut me off with a high-pitched scream, and immediatly everyone withing fifty feet was staring straight at me. The girl limped away, and I was left standing there facing about a hundred humans with hoses.

I heard the 12 yr old girl scream, I looked away as the mum and the 5 yr old were reunited.
I ran over to Logan, "I think we better leave. The humans are a bit freaked out" I slipped my hand in his and started walking us away.
