  She knows about my anxiety, and says that it's pretty serious. She understands what it does to me and is able to help me in such a way that my grades don't suffer from it. She also says I should talk to my dad about getting medication, and untill today I didn't even know there was medication for anxiety.
  My parents, however, don't know I'm anxious at all outside the house. They blame it on my "shyness" when, in fact, I'm not shy at all! I just avoid social situations because I'm afraid I'll mess up. I want to talk, to mess around with my peers, but I just...don't know how, I guess.
