I narrowed my eyes at him. "You are a jerk!" I say, hitting him on the chest jokingly gentle. Then I hip-check him. "Seriously, though, who would ever consider going out with that faker? I bet she's actually really mean."

"Noooo!" I roll my eyes. "Now, I was wondering...You said that you're picking out what I'm wearing to the party. When, exactly, will I know what I'm wearing?"

I pretend to think.
"I think you should wear my red dress. You know, the one I wore to Homecoming?" I tell him, jokingly. "I'll tell you after I'm ready." I stick out my tongue at him and race up the stairs to get ready. -
