I smiled and laid my head gently on his shoulder. He was nice and caring and I didn't want to hurt him in any way.

I stroked the back of her hair. I kissed the top of her head. She cares about me and actually likes me. I smiled. I liked her too.

I smiled, staring at the lake. I liked him, even though we just met. -
I rested my head on hers and closed my eyes.

"So, where did you live, before?" I wondered how far he had come.

"North Carolina." I dont like thinking of my past.

I lived in South Carolina, so at least he didn't have to go too far. "Im sorry if that upset you," I said, looking at the expression on his face. "I wot ask any more questions."

"No its fine."

"Okay." I still felt a little bad and gazed at the lake.

I thought about life before. My dad choking me and my mom. Him burning me and cutting me. Him...killing my mom. Me killing him....no one knew that part. Tears welled up in my eyes.

I glanced at Will and saw the tears in his eyes. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you upset." I hugged him making sure I didn't hurt him more. "So sorry."

I hugged her too. "I was thinking about...things."

I hugged him slightly tighter. "I didn't want for you to be sad or dwell on the past."

"U know ur the first to ever care..."

I looked at him, apalled. "Nobody ever helped you before? Never offered you anything?"
