Tsu started going over different stratagies with Mei, talking excitedly.

This battle's end was signaled with the bell again, and she waited for the next names to pour out of the speakers.
"Next, we have Mei Gen against Utada Katsuyi." the voice called, and her blank eyes finally opened. She got up stiffly, ignoring the elder woman's wishes for good luck. Fortune had never liked her very much. -
Mei got up, and blinked as Tsu whispered in her ear "You'll do great!"
She walked out, preparing to fight. -
Utada took her position across the field, and leveled her ice cold eyes at the girl across the field. They remained blank, not really taking in her opponent. This same thing had earned her the name she had. The Broken Doll.
She tried to make herself focus, but couldn't find interest in the girl. She waited for the bell to sound. The permission to attack this girl that would finally bring her some sort of interest in her surroundings. -
Mei Rei was simply known as Dragon Cry. Most who ended up fighting her where dead, or found with tears in their eyes.
She waited for the bell, feeling her fingernails itch to dig into flesh. -
The bell tolled, a long, hollow sound. How many deaths had this bell signaled? Caused? Utada had no time to ponder that. She began a slow walk toward her opponent, wondering vaguely if she had ever heard of this girl before. For a moment, she couldn't recall the name the speaker had announced.
Mei..Gen.. It was Mei Gen. I wonder what her real last name is?
Her eyes remained blank, and she waited for the order the elder woman always screamed out to her, always ignoring the awkward moment that ensued.
"Hurry, up, my dear little champion! You want to get ice cream, don't you?" she called. Utada nodded lightly to herself, a numb smile on her lips. -
Tsu called at the top of his lungs "Mei Rei-Chan! Kick her ass!"
Mei had to smirk at the comment.
She would wait for the opponet to make the first move, as always. -
Utada paused a few feet away from her opponent. She looked up at her again, finally close enough to analyze her eyes. It surprised her when she found them too hard for her to read. She took a hesitant step back, frowning. People.. were so easy to read. Why not her?
"Miss Mei?" she said quietly, her voice flat, still without emotion. "Are you ready?" -
(I need to go for tonight. Maybe some time tomorrow, if either of us have time? x3 Good night.)

"I have no choice in the matter, but yes."She replied, voice oddly flat yet chime like, almost childish.

Utada smiled at her, a blank, meaningless gesture. "Then I wish you luck." she said simply, and jumped back to gain her running start. -
(We can use powers, yes?xD)
Mei Rei waited for her chance to dig her nails into her opponet's throat. -
(If you like. But just don't do anything too big. It's an automatic loss if you kill any spectators.)
Utada stopped a few more feet back, and started an easy sprint toward the girl. This girl, much more calm than her usual opponents, made her curious. She didn't make a move. She was waiting for Utada. And that was irritating. -
(Ah, alright)
Mei's fingernails glowed slightly, and extended and hardered, becoming claw like. As soon as the girl got close enough, she aimed for the throat.
