Mei Rei yawned, getting out of bed. The girl's pink hair spiraled across her shoulders. She would put it into two ponytails, like everyother day. -

Utada sat up in bed slowly, the sheets hardly ruffled from her usual motionless sleep. She glared at them, balled them up in her arms, and tossed them to the floor. Getting out of bed, she walked silently across the huge room the woman who had insisted upon being called mother had given her, and looked over her reflection in the mirror, a blank expression on her face.

Mei groaned, rubbing her neck. She hadn't gotten much sleep last night what with her nightmare.
She went to get dressed, rubbing the sleep out of her violet eyes. -
Brushing quickly through her hair, she slipped in to her clothes, and swiftly went down the long stairway. She wondered again why it had to wind so muuch. Yes, it made it pretty, but it seemed like so much more effort than a simple stairway. She jumped the last five steps, and let her stride slow to a more natural walk.
Again, she wasn't ready for the elder woman to tackle her this way, and was taken completely unawares by the force of her embrace. "Good morning, my dear champion!" she cheered as she twirled the numb girl around. -
As soon as she was dressed and her hair was fixed, she started down the hall, heading for the main room.
On her way, one of her 'mother's' children stopped her, smiling.
"How are you this morning, Rei?"He asked.
She snorted, annoyed that he called her Rei, she continued walking.
