Max sighed, fixing to shake her head. But all the young ones looked eager, begging her. "Fine." She rolled her eyes.

Fang knew she was just saying it for the little ones. They wanted a home so bad. He nodded, and reluctantly flied back to Annie's house.

Max followed Fang, along with the kids. She was afraid of what Annie would think...

Fang landed a few feet away from the house.

Max flew down too fastly, landing on her back. "Ow...." She said, out of breath.

Fang smirked as Max fell. "And that's our fearless leader, folks." He muttered.

Max rubbed her back as she got up, and glared at Fang. "No need to be an asshole."

Fang grinned slightly.

"Why do you always smile when I'm mad at you? Or when I make a mistake?" Max scowled.

"Because it's fun watching you get angry." All the others were going inside with Annie now, so it was just to two of them.

Max rolled her eyes. "How is it fun?!"

Fang shrugged. "It entertains me."

"Nothing but that entertains you?" How pathetic., Max thought bitterly.

"There are other things, but this is the easiest to find when we're on the run." He grinned again.

Max couldn't help but smile. She could never stay angry at Fang for long.
