I walked up to the boarding area. -

I followed, thinking about what these Americans had discovered and if France was the same. -
I stopped, waiting for the ship to dock.

"Sailboats have them, but big ones like these run on engines."

I shrugged. "To you, I guess it would be. Or anyone from another time."
