He nodded. "Oh."

"Yeah.." She replied. "I'm Rain."

"I'm Jay," he said.

"Like a bird.." She thought out loud. She soon noticed, and blushed.

"I guess..." He shrugged.

She bit her lip, and looked at the ground. "So..."

He stood there silently. Maybe he should've headed to school...

She looked up. "So.." She repeated.

"Yes?" he asked, looking at her and then the ground.

"How's your life been?"

He stared over at her, a bit confused. "Fine... I guess... need someone to show you around?"

She nodded happily.

"Okay, c'mon." He started down the street.

She skipped close behind him, trying not to lose him.

He frowned, hearing her skip along. She was so... happy. It wasn't that he had anything against happiness, but she was just so perky.
