"Okay." She smiled. Then it really hit her. Oh my god. I'm getting married.

He grinned and pulled out onto the street. This is really happening... I'm going to spend the rest of my life Tessa... The roads were relatively sound, which made for easy driving.

I'm marrying Eric... I'm really marrying Eric...

This is a dream come true.... If this is a dream, let me never wake up... The sound of tires squealing brought him back to the present. A pair of headlights was speeding straight towards them. Before he could do anything, the sound of shattering glass and crunching metal sounded through his ears. After that, there was only a cold, consuming blackness.

Tessa's daydream was shattered by the bright headlights and the screeching tires of another car. As the two cars collided, she and Eric were sprayed by the shattered safety glass. As the airbags exploded out, Tessa lost consciousness.

Paramedics were called to the scene. They rushed both of them to the hospital. The other driver was unharmed with just agree gashes and abrasions.

The next day, Tessa opened her eyes slightly, staring up at the ceiling of a room in the hospital. The last thing she remembered was Eric proposing, and then the two of them getting in the car and... "Whesric?" Her words came out slurred.

"What, hon?" a nurse asked.
Eric lay on the hospital bed, still unconscious. He was on various medications. Tubes fed in and out of his wrists and arms, supplying vital fluids to his body. -
"Whesric?" she repeated. She tilted her head to the left, seeing what she thought was an IV in her wrist.

"Oh, Eric? Was that the man in the car with you? He's in a room down the hall. Once we finish up this IV fluid you'll be able. To get up and about."

* you'll be able to get up and about."

She closed her eyes. Well, at least he wasn't dead. Or she wasn't dead.

In about twenty minutes the IV fluid was finished. The nurse took care of getting Tessa ready to go. "Alright, hon. You can go see him now."

Tessa nodded. When she reached the room, she looked at him. He was still unconscious.
