      Rebekah
I smiled at myself, and went down the stairs and into the kitchen.
Carlisle
"Okay." I said silently, watching 'T.V.' -

      Cole
I'm sorry. About everything. I'll make it up to you. I hoped he was at least half listening.
I heard Rebekah in the kitchen. I gave Carlisle a sad smile before walking into the kitchen and starting to prepare the meal. -

      Rebekah
I sat on the stool happily. "So..."
Carlisle
I laughed quietly. "Whatever..." I said under my breath, and continued watching. -

      Cole
I smiled, chopping up the vegetables. "So?" I repeated. -

      Rebekah
I watched him chop. "I've never cooked before..." -

      Cole
"Come here. I can teach you." I held out my free hand. -

      Rebekah
"Okay..." I said, nervously. I let out my hand. -

I pulled her over gently, handing her the knife. I wrapped my hand around hers. "For the carrots, the slices should be about a centimeter thick. The mushrooms should be about a quarter of a centimeter thick. Like this," I said, demonstrating.

      I nodded understandingly, observing.
 -

"Now, the chicken and bacon are in the pan. After we're done with the vegetables, we'll add them in and saute it for about two minutes, until they're soft."
 -

      "Okay..."
 -

I carried the cutting board over to the pan and scraped the carrots and vegetables in. I took a wooden spoon and stirred it until things seemed done.
"Could you pass me that cognac?" I asked, pointing towards a bottle of brandy by unpacked paper bag. -

I nodded, taking the bottle and handing it towards Cole. I bit my lip and sat back down on the stool, thinking.
 -

I took the pan off of the heat, then poured the brandy over it; the brandy caught fire. Within a minute, the fire had gone out. Good. Just the right about of flavor from that, I thought, stirring the mixture.

I gasped at the beauty of the cooking. Wow... that was awesome! I thought happily.
