Inside the house, it was quiet. The house was neat, but it felt empty.
"This is MTV Cribs, welcome to my crib," he said, trying to force a laugh. -
He giggled, looking around. "It's very nice too, but it needs...warmth to it."

"Yeah. It's a-always like this, though.."

"I imagine it could get depressing... when do your parents usually get home?"

"It depends.. Some days they come home before I get out from school, sometimes they don't come back until two in the morning."

"Aw, that sucks. My family's the same way a lot though."

"Seems like a lot of families are that way now.." he said sadly.

"Yeah, it's not right."

"No. It's not," he whispered.

"If I ever have a family I'd make sure that wouldn't happen."

"Yeah. I'd be the same. I don't ever want to know someone is alone."

"Same here." He nodded.

He only nodded solemnly. ".. Do you want anything?"

"Not really. Maybe some water?"

"Okay," he said, going to his kitchen to bring him some water. "Ice or no?"
