Alex sat down as well, tapping the desk with his finger tips.

Nick tapped his foot on the ground, not liking the silence.

Alex didn't know what to say really. Suddenly a substitute teacher came in all confused and nervous. Nice

Nick glanced at the substitute teacher, finding the confusion very amusing.

"Um, today your teacher wants you to get with a partner and read chapter 10 together. Then answer some questions on this paper I'll be handing out." The nervous man said.

Nick glanced at Alex and gave a small smile.

He smiled back and got the book, moving to sit with him.

"So, uh, we start reading?"

"Um yeah. Want me to go first?"

"Yeah. Please."

He nodded and read the first page.

He listened carefully.

He continued reading, stopping when Nick felt comfortable.

Nick picked up from where Alex stopped.

He listened as he read, admiring his voice.
