"You memorized any words yet?" she asked, nibbling on a fruit bar.

"Oui, je sais beaucoup mots," Mai smiled and drank some water.

"Okay, what does that mean?"

"I know many words." Mai chuckled a bit.

"Alright smarty pants, what's your favorite thing to say."

"Hmm..." Mai thought for a minute. "Probably 'Je t'aime'."

"Now what does that mean?" -
"Ummm... It means... it means, 'I love you.'" she replied, blushing a bit.

Kawa blinked, and blushed as well.

"Uhh..." Mai looked away, her face heating up even more. She took a bite of her sandwich, avoiding the urge speak.

Kawa kept her eyes on her food, afraid if she looked anywhere else her face would go cherry red.

Mai looked up. "I'm sorry... That was pretty awkward..." she swallowed. "I totally understand if I made you uncomfortable..."

"N-no, it's alright." Kawa said, smiling.
