I’m baaaaack
And my posting schedule is gonna be a bit weird for a while, but I’m going to try to post at least twice a week -
Girls camp was low key so fun this year
Probably the best one I’ve been to so far, and I went river rafting for one a few years ago
All the girls were just so nice this time, and I made 2 new friends from my neighborhood (one of which I’ve been wanting to be friends with for 3 years now, I was just too awkward to talk to her) -
Girls camp is lowk fun when some girls arent being toxic. I cant wait for mine.
-
Mine was honestly the best one I’ve ever had, everyone was having too much fun to be toxic. Hope yours goes well!
-
Why did Pinterest say my pins gave me +10000000 aura wtf
-
That was on my updatesssss

Sometimes I feel bad for posting so much on the stage forum that I’m making the older soaps and rps disappear

Chappell Roan is the perfect example of the Halo Effect
Taylor Swift is also a good example, but that’s been done already with The Age Of Magical Overthinking by Amanda Montell -
The Halo Effect is the idealizing of celebrities and people we adore, linking positive traits with them and thinking they can do no wrong. Of course, we like it when they’re daintily human, like when a singer messes up on their concert, or posts a video of hanging out with their friends, but we don’t like it when they’re fully human. Like Chappell Roan.
I’m not a huge Chappell Roan supporter (she needs a social media manager, but I don’t hate her for what she’s said) but there’s no doubt that she’s fully human, and unfiltered. The fan mentality wants her to be human, but just enough that it’s endearing, not problematic. Just enough to still adore her and set impossibly high expectations from her -
The best way to explain endearing humanness is with parents, when you think theyre too flawless and have no room for error, and then they tell you a story from their childhood or 20s when they snuck out, or got into trouble at school, or whatever out of character thing they did. It’s human, but enough to be a funny short story, not enough for our views on them to completely shift

Wow I redid the vocal range test and the results are super different
Warming up your voice is super helpful, who could have possibly known that- -
I can go from A#5 to D3 but that’s only if my falsetto is incredibly warmed up and ready. Deeper notes are easier for me to hit, but it’s still a damn impressive vocal range
-
Still think I’m mostly a baritone. I can hit higher notes if I want, but the deeper tenor notes are my sweet spot

I wish I was bilingual like my siblings
They’re all in fancy French schools, so they’re fluent in French, but I’m not lol
I’m taking asl this year because it’s relevant to the job I want, but knowing Spanish would be super helpful for my current job. Hell, even Chinese would be helpful with some of the foreign workers I have to train
